This week, we’ve got Georgia on our minds.
We’ve got Georgia on our minds because an opposition leader is in prison; because democracy there is in retreat; because protesters are in the streets; and because the main beneficiary of the country’s latest crisis is clearly Russia – which, oh by the way, continues to occupy 30 percent of Georgian territory.
So we’ve got Georgia on our minds, but not for good reasons. And today, we’ll unpack the crisis and what it means with Eto Buziashvili of the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensics Research Lab and Shota Gvineria of the Baltic Defense College.
