The Cartoon Villain

As he invades and menaces his neighbors; and trolls and threatens the West, Vladimir Putin has often been compared to a cartoonish villain – an image he appears to embrace, cultivate, and relish.

And over the years, there have also been numerous biographies of Putin that have chronicled the Kremlin leader’s life, rise, and rule.

But until now, at least to my knowledge, nobody has put these two things together – until now.

On this week’s Power Vertical Podcast, host Brian Whitmore speaks with Andrew Weiss, author of the just-released graphic biographical novel The Accidental Czar: The Life and Lies of Vladimir Putin about the book and how it is relevant to our times.
